HYPEBEAST......man cut the sh*t out....

So, we all hear the term "hypebeast" thrown around on a daily basis.  Go onto any social media outlet (IG, twitter, Facebook, etc.) and you'll run into a sneaker post or thread where one person is calling the next a "hypebeast" for one reason or another.  Before we even get into this lets figure out what the urban dictionary defines a hypebeast as:

"A Hype Beast is a kid that collect clothing, shoes, and accessories for the sole purpose of impressing others. Although the individual may not have a dime to their name they like to front like they are making far more then everybody else. "

With that being said....lets cut the sh*t out.

If you run into someone who camps out for EVERY damn shoe for no good reason, doesn't even like the shoe, is doing it because "all the cool kids are doing it", they saw someone on IG say these are "dope", they want to "stunt" on everyone in school, or any other reason I might have missed.....take 2 seconds out of your time and have a conversation with them and educate them as oppose to calling them names.

Think about it, what does calling them a "hypebeast" solve? Being called a hypebeast is by far one of the biggest disses you can throw at someone involved in the sneaker culture.  The sneaker culture is (or at least is suppose to be) based around a community of people who are into the same things, have the same likes, or at the minimum enjoy the broad picture of the culture.  By the way the "sneaker culture" is way more than the next biggest release...its about the origins of hip hop, the underground brands that grinded their way up off of blood, sweat and tears, about the dude who truly did camp 15 hours to cop a pair of retros because it was the first pair of kicks he copped 10-15 years ago, its about the art....

Lets stop the name bashing and sh*t talking, and lets start helping each other out. Start schooling the new dudes in the game that really don't know right from wrong.  The ones that think that its just about that new release.  Most importantly, think about why YOU became apart of this phenomenon, this lifestyle.  Instead of ripping them apart, explain to them what made you become as crazy and infatuated as you are with this.

Lastly.....dont forget to do whats most important..."spread love its the (insert your city here) way"
