Nike Air Bakin Release

Source: SoleCollector
Back from 1997 (and a little of 2011), the Nike Air Bakin is making its way back to the shelves this Saturday.

A controversial sneaker, most notably worn by Miami Heat Point Guard at the time Tim Hardaway, this sneaker was pulled from stores and re-branded for religious reasons. The flaming 'AIR' logo on the heel resembled the Arabic text for 'Allah'. Out of respect for the Muslim religion, it was yanked.

Releasing is the OG colorway of Black and Red, dawning the iconic pattern on the upper and yellow laces, and the controversial AIR replaced with Nike Air on the heel.

Grab yours at retailers like VILLA this Saturday.
